Medical Benefits
Powered By Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas™
TXHB partners with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) to expand our members’ access to providers through the broadest network in Texas with exceptional rates to keep out-of-pocket costs to a minimum.
- Every member gets a Benefits Value Advisor (BVA) to help them find and compare in-network doctors, their costs, and schedule appointments. BVAs can be reached Mon-Fri from 8am-6pm at 855-762-6084.
- Members also have access to the Member Rewards Program. Whenever members use their BVA to find a more cost-effective doctor, we send them a percentage of the savings in the mail.
- For members unable to get to a doctor’s office, they also have access to MDLive, a telehealth option for 24/7, remote access to medical expertise.

If our members have an upcoming, non-emergency surgery coming up, they can use their benefits provided by SurgeryPlus to access a premium network of surgeons with the lowest complication rates in the nation for little-to-no cost to them.

TXHB members have the option of receiving vision benefits through the Pool as well. These benefits come from EyeMed, who has a network of partners all across the state to provide members with discounted frames, lenses, and eye exams.

TXHB members can receive dental coverage through the Pool. Our partnership with BCBSTX allows our members access to Blue’s network to receive dental care for in-network discounts.
